Yogi Tea

December 11, 2018

The smell of a yogini's home is often a blend of incense, essential oils and aromatic spices such as the one's found in this decadent yogi tea recipe. (I was introduced to this recipe in the 90s in my 3HO Kundalini Yoga days).

With this heavenly yogi tea not only will your house smell divine but your taste buds and those of your guests will be dancing. And, the blend of spices increases our physical and mental energy and improves our digestion. Two things that can really enhance the holiday season. Plus, the yogi tea is so rich it feels like a treat!

4 Mugs

24 ounces of water

10 cloves

12 cardamon pods

12 peppercorns

2 sticks of cinnamon

12 ouces of soy or almond milk

3 slices fresh ginger

Black tea 1 bag

Honey or maple syrup (optional)

Bring spices to a boil and simmer for 20 minutes or longer. Add milk and black tea and let simmer for another 20 minutes or so.
Optional - Add sweetner when serving.

If you know me, you know I don't measure. Once you feel comfortable with the recipe you can tweak it to your taste.
